Day 25 – Osaka / Awaji

Day 25 – Osaka / Awaji

Today we headed to an Island called Awaji. It contains many famous buildings and and a

Temple called the Water Temple by a Famous Japanese Architect Tadao Ando. Andrew is an architect and Tadao is his favorite Architect, so In his Japan trip it was a must.
It took a while to get there from Osaka, and on the last leg we took a bus over the biggest bridge I`ve ever seen. The views on the bridge and the Island were quite nice, and the Island was pretty chilled and the part we went too could barely be called a town. There were even Rice paddies, and when getting to the Water temple I was amazed at how cool the building was and how the architect had an aesthetic eye similar to mine. Ill leave the photos to explain when I put them up 😛

We then went to a International conference centre, hotel, and memorial for a famous earthquake, all designed by Tadao.
I liked the design of everything again so Tadao is my favorite architect too now. We were hungry as all hell so we ate at a really nice restaurant and felt like idiots when we didn`t understand when the waiter was asking us a few things, but we got there. I had pizza and Andrew had pasta and man it was refreshing to have a normal meal + a proper classy non japanese restaurant meal.
